This delicious Chocolate Easter Egg Loaf is designed to be made with the Ninja 3-in-1 food processor for easy preparation and the perfect soft texture. Ready to start? Then, let’s get baking!

Ingredients-

For the chocolate loaf

·      175g Self-raising flour

·      200g White sugar

·      200g Butter

·      25g Cocoa powder

·      1 tsp Vanilla extract

·      4 Eggs

For the buttercream

·      150g Icing sugar

·      75g Unsalted butter (room temperature)

·      1-2 tbsp Milk

·      1 tsp Vanilla extract

·      75g Cadbury’s Mini Eggs

Utensils

·      Ninja BN800UK Food processor

·      Plastic dough blade accessory for Ninja processor

·      Loaf tin

·      Wire rack

·      Electric whisk

Method

Step 1

Firstly, preheat your oven to 170°F (340°C).

Step 2

Add the flour and cocoa powder to the bowl of your Ninja food processor. Fit the plastic dough blade to the food processor and pulse for a few seconds to remove any lumps. Next, add the white sugar, butter, vanilla extract and eggs. Set the processor to a low speed and blend for approximately 15 seconds.

Step 3

Next, line a loaf tin with greaseproof paper and pour the batter into the tin. Place the tin in the oven and bake for approximately 30-40 minutes. You can pierce the loaf with a cooking tool or utensil to make sure the loaf is well baked.

Step 4

Allow the loaf to cool in the tin for approximately 15 minutes, then remove and transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Step 5

For the buttercream, place the butter in a mixing bowl and whisk using an electric whisk for 5-10 minutes until the butter turns light and fluffy.

Step 6

Gradually add half of the icing sugar and whisk until combined. Then, add the remaining sugar, along with the milk and vanilla extract. Continue whisking until the mixture is smooth and creamy.

Step 7

Finally, spread the buttercream over the top of your loaf and decorate with Mini Eggs to complete your Easter treat!
